By car:
You can also rent a car. The airport is located north of Porto. That way you should follow the signs to PORTO / LISBOA.
Then you should get to A1 highway and leave on the exit Aveiro Norte (3rd exit).
Follow Aveiro Centro and leave at AVEIRO OESTE.
You enter a roundabout and leave it the second exit (on your right) to the University / Hospital.
The University is on the right in front of the hospital.

From the Lisbon airport: Lisbon is +- 250 Km far from Aveiro.

By train:
The airport is very close to a new railway station called ORIENTE. The better way is either to take a taxi (should not cost much more than 600$00) or to look for the bus for that station. From there, one can take the train "INTERCIDADES" or "ALFA" (direction Aveiro, Porto or Braga) till Aveiro (usually one train per hour). It takes around 2h30.

Timetables for ALFA/INTERCIDADES trains from Lisboa:

By car:
Lisbon's airport is close to the A1 highway that will lead you to Aveiro. Follow the directions A1/Porto when leaving the rental car parks in the airport. Beware that roads are undergoing major works in the area surrounding the airport and in the EXPO'98 area (which is just beside the airport). Leave A1 in the junction AVEIRO/AGUEDA and follow AVEIRO. You will get to a roundabout in Aveiro; on one side, you will have the University Campus.
